About the She4She Challenge
She4She, initiated by Youth First, is a challenge that aims to empower young girls and women by strengthening their skills (specific skills in facilitating training with a non-formal approach, professional skills related to work ready skills) and giving back to the community.
The challenge is divided into three phases: the first phase consists of equipping the selected young women with interpersonal and technical skills that can improve their access to the professional world. In the second phase of the challenge, the selected young women were asked to give back to the community through cascade training. They had the opportunity to mobilise a community of motivated young women and agents of change. The third phase consists of mobilising a group of professionally accomplished women to implement a mentoring session with all programme participants on the path to professional fulfilment and job interview techniques.
What the project has achieved
- 20 young women have strengthened their work-ready skills
- Through cascade training, 170 young women have benefited from training in work-ready skills
