Youth First sees a great potential in Malagasy youth , this is why we have long campaigned for their voice to be heard, considered and included through each of our projects. This advocacy for taking into account the voice of young people and their participation in all spheres of society has started with the Youth Summit organized by Youth First since 2016 and continues today through the federation of a national community of young, informed leaders and agents of change, notably through the Studio Sifaka project.

Indeed, within the implementation of the Studio Sifaka project, a radio program created by the United Nations in Madagascar, in partnership with the Hirondelle Foundation, with the support of the Peacebuilding Fund, Youth First brings its expertise in terms of advocacy by mobilizing and amplifying the voice of young people from all regions of Madagascar.

Today, 21 young people, active and eager to contribute to local development, have volunteered to represent the voice of young people in their respective regions as Youth First focal points, in know that some of them have already represented their region during the Youth Summit. They will set up a Studio Sifaka listener club in their respective regions and carry the voice of young people in their region through the radio program "FEON'NY TANORA MAROLOKO" during which they will participate in the various debates that touches upon the issues affecting the country.

Thus, to support these 21 Focal Points in their responsibilities and make them real leaders, the Youth First team welcomed them at the Youth Impact Lab on 20, 21, and 22 January 2020, for sessions of sharing and capacity building. The Focal Points acquired skills and knowledge in leadership, in initiating and putting into practice the methodology of discussion groups, but also more technical skills such as reporting, setting up listeners' clubs, or even sound recording. Let us support young people, let us amplify their voices!
